Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Logistics Dispatcher with mid-level experience to coordinate daily transportation operations. The ideal candidate will manage driver schedules, monitor deliveries, resolve routing issues, and ensure timely, accurate movement of goods.


Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and assign daily routes, loads, and schedules to drivers or carriers.
  • Monitor shipment progress, track vehicles, and update internal systems with real-time status information.
  • Communicate with drivers, warehouse teams, and customers to ensure efficient workflow and timely deliveries.
  • Resolve delivery delays, routing issues, equipment problems, or unexpected disruptions.
  • Maintain accurate records of dispatch activities, trip logs, delivery times, and transportation documentation.
  • Use dispatching software, GPS tracking tools, and communication systems to optimize operations.
  • Ensure compliance with DOT regulations, company policies, and safety standards.
  • Assist in planning and executing logistical strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Provide customer support by responding to inquiries, delivery updates, and problem resolution.
  • Collaborate with supervisors and logistics managers to improve routing processes and overall service performance.

Qualifications

  • 2-5 years of experience in logistics dispatching, transportation coordination, or related field.
  • Working knowledge of dispatching systems, routing software, and GPS tracking tools.
  • Strong communication, multitasking, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle high volumes of communication.
  • Understanding of transportation regulations and logistics best practices.
  • Proficiency with basic computer applications (MS Office, data-entry systems).
  • Problem-solving mindset and strong attention to detail.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with TMS (Transportation Management Systems).
  • Knowledge of freight, LTL, FTL, or last-mile delivery operations.
  • Bilingual communication skills.
  • Familiarity with warehouse operations.
